I saw this… and instantly thought I should get a few at home. I think my wife really wouldn’t care for them, but who doesn’t want coasters that look like iphone icons? Toxel.com actually has a whole list of cool/unusual coasters - most of which have quite the geeky theme.
Found this off of TechEBlog originally. Look through the listing on Toxel though. Tell me if those *wouldn’t* be awesome in the living room or the BSG room? (Wife and I have a slight disagreement on what to call our downstairs family room. BSG Room is my name for it and totally unapproved for home use. Yes, by BSG I mean the one and only Battlestar Galatica, which is returning for the final half of the season in January.)

The “Geek Dad” blog has a great post today on the “5 Signs President-Elect Obama is a Geek.” Now whether or not you were an Obama supporter, I think some of the are both funny and good.
I think one thing all of us geeks can agree on, we have been horribly lacking in elected officials who understand tech, techies, and the web.
I had forgotten that Obama is a trekkie… that one brought a smile. Anyways, head on over there to take a look. It is worth the time.

Kelly let me know that over at the blog “Soul Mating” they recently did a post: “50 Reasons to Date a Geek.”
I will link to it and post a few of my favorites, however I refuse to link to my wife’s “50 Reasons to not date a geek” since it would make me look bad.
A geek can fix your computer
You’ll have the most awesome home entertainment center ever
It’s easy to make them happy
They have a lot going on inside their minds
… and the list goes on of course. It is a good entertaining read. So I suggest you stop on over
