Vonage filed with the SEC for a Initial Public Offering today.  Estimated at $250 million. Mark Evans has some interesting comments on it all.  I agree with him.  It is about time.

While I think it was smart of them to wait as long as they did, which by the way is why I don’t think we are seeing a bubble just yet, I have been impatiently waiting to see what a Vonage IPO would be valued at.  Probably a little lighter than I would have imagined, but stil not bad.  Mark points out that they even mention that they want to use some of the proceeds for purchases.  Maybe a little streamlining of the VOIP market is in order.  Should be fun to watch.
